日本ボーイスカウト神奈川連盟川崎地区協議会より感謝状を授与

この度、本学は日本ボーイスカウト神奈川連盟川崎地区協議会より感謝状を授与されました。
今回の感謝状授与の経緯といたしましては、ボーイスカウト川崎地区が実施しているボルチモア－川崎市姉妹都市交流事業のひとつであるボーイスカウトの富士登山および八ヶ岳でのキャンプに本学から医師を派遣するなど医療支援を行ったことが契機となっております。
感謝状授与にあたっては、ボーイスカウトより、境 紳隆 地区協議会長、濱田　雅弘 地区副協議会長、木村 耕三 地区副協議会長、長谷川 博之 国際交流委員会委員、の4名にお越しいただき、また、本学からは、北川学長、鈴木国際交流センター長、松本主任教授、の3名にご同席いただきました。冒頭、ボーイスカウト川崎地区創立70周年および川崎地区協議会・ボルチモア協議会交流37周年を迎えるにあたり、各種活動内容についてご説明いただき、北川学長よりも本事業の発展を願うとともに、今後も本学としての協力を惜しまない旨述べられました。感謝状は境会長から北川学長に渡され、本学が本事業に関わることへの重要性について改めて認識いたしました。
今後も、国際交流センターを中心に、法人として本事業への協力を続けていく所存です。

St. Marianna University School of Medicine Awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from Scout Association of Japan

On May 26, 2022, St. Marianna University School of Medicine was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the Kawasaki District, Kanagawa Scout Council, Scout Association of Japan for providing medical assistance to the Mt. Fuji climbing and Yatsugatake camping activity of Baltimore-Kawasaki Sister City Scout Exchange Program.
Four representatives the of the Kawasaki District Council visited our campus and shared the history of Boy Scout Kawasaki District. They also explained to us about their exchange program with the city of Baltimore which has been active for more than 35 years.
The certificate was given from the Chairman of the Council to the President of St. Marianna University School of Medicine. By receiving the certificate, we have recognized the importance of the commitment of our university to the activities and program held by the Scout Council.
