国際交流センター センター長

本学の創立者である故明石嘉聞博士は、無医村地区の医療に貢献し、東南アジアの発展途上国で働く医師の養成を念願されていました。この理念に基づき、2011年度に韓国の高神大学と学生の相互派遣に関する協定を締結したことを皮切りに卒前医学教育国際交流委員会が設置され、本格的に国際交流事業が開始されました。
現在、本学はアジアや米国の大学と協定を締結しており、海外大学への学生の派遣や留学生の受け入れを中心に人的国際交流を積極的に進めています。
本学の国際交流センターでは、学生が国籍や言語にとらわれず幅広い属性の人と双方向的なコミュニケーション能力を習得し、将来グローバルスタンダードに則った医療を提供できる国際的視野を有する医師を目指すことができる支援体制を構築しています。
The late Dr. Kamon Akashi, the founder of our university, longed to contribute to medical care in rural areas lacking such care and to train doctors working in developing countries in Southeast Asia. Based on this philosophy, the International Exchange Committee for Medical Students was established in 2011 after concluding an agreement on the mutual dispatch of students with Kosin University in South Korea, and the international exchange project started in earnest.
Currently, the university has agreements with universities in Asia and the United States and is actively promoting international exchanges centered on dispatching students to overseas universities and hospitals and accepting international students.
At the Center for International Exchange, we have a support system for students so they can acquire the ability to communicate interactively with people having a wide range of qualities regardless of nationality or language and aim to become a doctor with an international perspective who can provide medical care in accordance with global standards in the future.

2018年4月に国際交流センターが開設されました。
急速なグローバル化、医療の国際展開が推し進められる中で、医師・医療従事者の国際化は大きな課題です。本学における国際交流の大きな役割は大きなもので、医療人の教育、研究推進、学生や医師の海外派遣、留学生や海外からの研究者の受け入れをこれまでも行って参りましたが、今後も双方向の国際交流の規模を拡大し、充実させていきたいと考えております。学生をはじめとして、本学関係者のみなさま、国際交流センターを気軽に活用していただけますと幸いです。
The Center for International Exchange was established in April 2018, but we have history of international exchanges at St. Marianna University School of Medicine. As the only Catholic medical school in Japan, we have trained nearly 5,000 physicians filled with the spirit of love and dedication. With partner institutions in world, our center plans to dispatch our students and faculty members overseas and welcome foreign medical students and researchers here. We also intend to expand our collaboration in the future.
