NITTE大学との学術交流協定の締結について

2020年7月30日付けで、本学はインド南部のカルナータカ州にある NITTE大学と学術交流協定を締結しました。教職員の派遣も含めた包括的な学術交流協定と同時に、医学生のクリニカル・クラークシップを前提とした学生交流プログラムに関する協定も締結しました。

NITTE大学は、1979年にNitte Education Trustとして設立され、2008年に大学と認定されました。電子通信工学、情報科学など理系に特化した大学で、3つのキャンパスに１３の学部を有しています。医学部、歯学部、薬学部、看護学部があり、研究・教育の内容は、インドでもトップクラスです。日本での提携校は宮崎大学と立命館大学で、医学単科大学との提携は本学が初めてとなります。本学もインドの大学とは初めての学術提携となります。

7月初めに、本学事業担当の山本理事、鈴木国際交流センター長、田嶋国際交流副センター長が来日していたNITTE大学の国際交流担当ディレクターと本学にて面談し、協定についての内容を確認しました。

コロナ禍で、訪問が叶わなかったため、郵送での署名協定となりましたが、8月18日にビデオ会議をし、交流を深めました。会議には、本学からは、北川学長、加藤医学部長、田嶋国際交流センター副センター長が（鈴木センター長の代理として）出席。NITTEからは、Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary（副学長）、Dr. M S Moodithaya（副学長補佐）他、Alka Kulkarni（教務部長）、 Dr. Prakash（学部長）、 Indrani Karunasagar（研究開発部長）、そして日本で大学院を修了して何度も本学を来訪されているHarikrishna Bhat（アジア・パシフィック地域 国際センター長）が参加して、１時間に亘って話しました。今回の協定締結を機に、今後、医学部生や医師の交流を促進して参りたいと考えております。

St. Marianna University School of Medicine signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NITTE (deemed to be University) in India on July 30, 2020. Due to COVID-19, a physical meeting was not possible, however, we had a Google Meet to discuss our future possible exchanges of students and faculty members. Dr. Hiroaki Kitagawa, President, Dr. Tomohiro Kato, Dean, and Prof. Tina Tajima, Deputy Director of the Center for International Exchange attended the meeting. From NITTE Dr. M. S. Moodithaya, pro Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Prakash, Dean, Dr. Kulkarni, Registrar, Dr. Kurunasagar, Director of Research and Development, Dr. Praveen Kumar Shetty, Deputy Director of Research and Development, and Mr. Harikrishna Bhat, Director of International Collaborations attended the meeting. We hope to visit NITTE once the COVID pandemic is gone and to student and/or faculty exchanges in the near future.
